manufacturer.Meet the Team:We're looking for software engineering
professionals to join a team focused on monitoring and assisting
our fleet of autonomous driving vehicles while on missions. As a
software engineer, you will be responsible for creating full-stack
solutions hosted on cloud services focused on visualizations for
remote assistance. We collaborate frequently in many different
forms including daily stand-ups, planning meetings, and many ad-hoc
discussions/brainstorming/troubleshooting/pairing sessions over
Zoom or Slack. Our team is operationally responsible for the
services we own, so we gather and report on metrics and have an
on-call rotation in place where each member will take a turn
serving as the front-line to incidents for our services. Rotations
last a week each, during business hours.What You'll Do:
- Ensure the technical excellence of the solutions that your team
is responsible for and guide the integration of those solutions
within the portfolio of Torc's products.
- Treat coding as an art form that is characterized by clarity,
efficiency, and adherence to best practices. You develop and refine
your team's applicable coding standards and processes and ensure
that the team's deliveries adhere to those standards and
processes.
- Lead the advancement of automated testing to ensure that the
team's software meets high quality standards.
- Document meticulously and capture the design decisions that
contributed to the architecture so future maintainers can quickly
grasp the intent of the code.
- Collaborate with team members to help integrate their
contributions into the larger units of the team's software.
- Enforce software development best practices for the team,
improving quality, efficiency, and accuracy of the team's work.What
You'll Need to Succeed:
- BS/MS Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or
related field.
- 6+ years of experience in Industry or Graduate School.
- Proficiency in cloud services and architectures (AWS,
Azure).
- Proficiency using version control and CI/CD systems (Git).
- Test automation principles and design.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- A strong willingness to learn and work with new tools.Bonus

- Experience working with high-level languages (C++,
Python).
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure at scale (AWS,
Terraform).
- Proficiency in Linux platforms (Ubuntu, CentOS).
- Experience in robotic systems.
- Experience in IoT solutions and protocols (WebRTC, MQTT).
